There is no way of providing an exact percentage of websites that are embeddable (and those that are not).
Many sites on the internet do support iframes/embedding.
But actually, the percentage strongly depends upon the kind of website one considers each time, thus it can go from a low percentage (0-5%) to a high one (up to 80-90%), depending on the subject.
For instance, security-related websites, banking portals and payment processing sites like PayPal do not allow to be embedded (iframing).
Also, several big e-commerce websites (like Amazon or Zalando for example), do not allow to iframe their pages.
What kind of websites or contents are embeddable?
To give you some examples:
- Huge informative websites like Mashable, Wikipedia, Daily Mail, The Economist, etc.
- YouTube videos are embeddable.
- Google currently allows the embedding of Google Docs.
NB: Sites and content that are currently embeddable may not be embeddable in the future. JotUrl has no control over third-party content and websites, so any embeddability problems cannot be attributed to our engine.
There must always be an HTTPS or HTTP protocol match between the content you are embedding and your tracking link. If there is a discrepancy between protocols, even if the content is embeddable, the page will not be visible and cannot be used for your CTAs.

How do you know if a site is embeddable or not?
Within the JotUrl Dashboard, you can use our Embeddable Test Tool to understand if the site you want to use is embeddable or not. You simply have to follow these steps:
1. Enter the Dashboard and click on your account, in the drop-down menu choose "Tools".
2. At this point, click on the "Embedding Test" option. Here you can test if a URL can be embedded into some of the JotUrl features.
3. Paste the URL of the website you want to test, then click on the button “Run the Test”.
4. If the link used is embeddable, this message will appear at the bottom of the screen.
5. If the chosen site is not embeddable, a notification of this type will appear.
6. Some websites have additional security systems that can only be detected with a practical test. For this reason, we advise you to proceed also with a second verification test by clicking the button: “Run the Practical Test”.
- If the site is still embeddable you can see its preview.
- If the site is not embeddable, the preview will remain black.
If you find content that is not embeddable, we recommend looking for an alternative and similar content on the Internet, which is embeddable.
