If you're wondering why events are always counted over the last 30 days, please note that this strategy benefits the users and not our platform. In fact:
1. N events per month means → N x 12 events per year, while N events every 30 days lead to → N / 30 x 365 events per year; N x 12 is always less than N / 30 x 365, for any N not zero.
2. If you are close to the threshold, the only way you can reduce events is to remove tracking links from where you published them, but this does not always bring immediate results (think of posting, ad), so events can grow equally and lead to exceeding the threshold of your profile; if we apply monthly criteria, you would be in a phase of exceeding the threshold until the expiry of the period, which in this case could be from 1 day to 31 days.
If you're wondering what events actually are made of and how they're counted, please find more information at https://joturl.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024398712
