[Complete guide] How to create Easy Deep Links on JotURL

JotURL has developed a feature called Easy Deep Linking, this tool allows you to generate Deep Links to more than 60 Third-Party Apps including: Amazon, Target, Walmart, LTK, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and many others.

There are 3 Ways to Generate Deep Links with JotURL:
1) Manually within the Dashboard

2) Using the Chrome Extension

3) Through the API Lab

We will see the differences between these methods in order, to guide you in creating your deep links. For the examples in this guide, we will create Deep Links to Amazon - the most popular and requested App among our users.

Create Deep Link Manually Within the Dashboard

Here’s how it works.

To generate your Deep Link, the first thing you have to do is select a destination URL from an App, in the specific case of Amazon, you need to take the URL of the product page (IMPORTANT: this works even with Amazon Affiliate Links.)

Once you have copied that URL, return to the JotURL Dashboard and click on the (+) button to create a new Tracking Link.

Paste the Amazon URL as the Destination URL.

The exact moment you do so, the JotURL engine will automatically recognize the Amazon domain and configure the link to Deep Link exactly towards that destination.

The only thing we recommend you do to improve the result of Deep Linking is to use a branded domain for your links.

Once you've customized the look of your link, using your branded domain and alias, what we recommend you do is place tags on your tracking link. This way it will be easier for you to find it in your projects.

Once these very quick procedures have been done - some of which are optional - the only thing left to do is click on the green "Save" button.

Your Deep Link is ready to be copied and shared.

Easy Deep Linking options

JotURL has already set up the link by configuring it in the most optimal way to land your user within the Amazon app, but if you want to change its behavior, you can do so by clicking on that link, accessing the advanced options and then clicking on the “Easy Deep Linking” tab.

In this section, you can choose the behavior of your links for any device (Android or iOS, Tablet, Smartphone, Desktop).

For each of these devices there is the possibility of deciding where the user will be directed if they have or not the App - in this case that of Amazon. By default, Deep Linking always tries to bring the user to visit the content of the Amazon product page, but if you need to change this destination for a different commercial strategy, you can do so by entering the URL that you need most.

Within this section you can also edit your Open Graphs to change the meta description, title and image of your preview on the links published within social media posts.

After each change in the settings of your Easy Deep Linking, remember to click on "Save".

We remind you that these additional options are not mandatory, but rather optional tools to help you in particular cases.

Important Option: The TikTok flag.

Please remember this indication if you are doing Deep Linking on TikTok.

If you are using a Deep Link within TikTok Ads you must flag the option: “Disable the "open in browser" page shown on TikTok (it is recommended to disable this page if the deep link is used in TikTok ADs)

If you use Deep Linking in any other organic TikTok posts, you will not need to flag this option.

Generate Deep Links in Bulk with JotURL API
